Pete Walterscheid, "The World's 41,532nd Greatest Magician", is a part-time professional magician for hire that takes pride in what he presents. He considers himself a serious student of sleight-of-hand and frequently performs without the use of gimmicks or fake apparatus. He has had years performing for private parties, banquets, and corporate events; as well as a restaurant magician performing weekly for over two years locally in southeast Kansas. His material is "clean" as well as humorous and maintains bookings through word-of-mouth advertising. His comedy magic is unique and provides top-notch entertainment for all ages.
He has been active in the International Brotherhood of Magicians and well as the Society of American Magicians for over 20 years. He has taught several summer magic courses to children offered by Coffeyville Cultural Arts and in the past for Kids Academy sponsored by Coffeyville Community College.
"The World's 41,532nd Greatest Magician" continues to be a guest lecturer on performing magic at the annual "Emmett Kelly Clown Camp" held each year in Sedan, Kansas,... the birthplace of Emmett Kelly, the world's most recognizable sad clown.
Pete has written and produced the successful "Hauntings"....a local theater production of a re-creation of a 19th century seance. This show over the last three years has oftentimes been sold out.
Pete also offered a repeat performance of his full evening one-man show entitled "One Man's Magic" by Coffeyville Community College as part it's Humanities series.
